Doing It Yourself Doesn't Mean Doing It Alone

Hey there,

I'm sitting at my desk writing this, feeling like the blank page in front of me is hard to fill with words. It's early enough in the morning that the phone hasn't started ringing yet, and the only distraction in front of me is my own mind and the doubts that fill it.

The blank canvas is truly intimidating…

That's how I often felt when I needed to design a graphic post. I would have services to market and offers to make sure people online knew about them. But the paralysis of not knowing where to start felt overwhelmingly crippling.

What do I say?

What colors do I choose?

Should this line be 2.5 or 1.2?

With time and experience, it got easier. I found ways to help overcome the fright of the blank page, ways to understand which category of content to design for. And, I’d love to show you how.

DIY Marketing Webinar

At the end of this month, we’re launching the first in a series of free webinars to help freelancers, business owners, and nonprofit communication leads understand the basics of design and marketing.

DIY Marketing is going to be an opportunity for you, if you are in a season where you’re doing it yourself, or where you want continued education and guidance as you design marketing graphics for your business or institution.

We’ll go over the AIDA Marketing Model, talk about basic visual branding and design tips, show you how to use Canva as a design tool, as well as our DIY Marketing Graphics Library, and at the end of the live online webinar, you’ll be able to ask questions, leaving hopefully filled with more knowledge, less overwhelm, and empowered.

The DIY Marketing Webinar is happening on Tuesday, March 24th, at 5 pm. Register for free today!
